Controlling Black Vine Weevil with nematodes

Categories // Nemasys News

Does soil temperature matter?

Otiorhynchus sulcatus or the Black Vine Weevil (BVW) is one of the most significant pests of fruit crops and hardy ornamental production throughout the UK. Adult weevils consume plant foliage causing characteristic leaf notching, while subterranean larvae feed on the root system causing damage to the vascular tissues which can result in declined plant growth and death.
